The niche of the institute is Public Health and this makes our graduates rank among the high achievers in the field of health.</p> <p>Also the institute undertakes pilot studies and community surveys in the neighbourhood and other outreach communities to ascertain the health status and needs of the community, possible health risks and emergence of new diseases and to determine their intensity, source and prevalence. The results obtained are then disseminated locally, nationally and internationally as scientific evidence, relevant for academic and policy needs.</p>
